Udo Moser

Shore Crew

Udo is a back up sailor and member of the shore team focusing on clothing and helping with PR.  He is a talented sailor having completed an Olympic campaign in the 49er in 2000 sailing for Austria.  He has won seven national champion between the 49er and Soling.  He won the Soling masters three times and was world champion from 2005-2007.  Udo won a bronze medal in the Soling Europeans in 2006 and was ranked No1 in the world for the Soling in 2006.

Other than sailing, Udo’s hobbies include triathlon, skiing and cooking. His worst moment sailing was getting informed by the jury, after winning the race and the Soling World Championship title, that we had an OCS in the race and ended up on 6th place! His best moment sailing was winning his first national title in the 49er.  Udo’s favourite food is braised oxtail.

Three words that describe his character are visionary, positive and good-humoured.
