Wouter Verbraak

Wouter Verbraak is one of todays leading navigators and all-round yachtsmen. He is a qualified meteorologist and accomplished sailor.

Wouter has a wealth of experience in both inshore and offshore racing. He has sailed in the America’s Cup, the Volvo Ocean Race, the Oryx Quest non-stop around the world, most of the ocean classics and the Tour de France à la Voile, all as navigator.

Wouter’s Career highlights include winning the Admiral’s cup, the Breitling Med Cup, the Middle Sea Race, Buenos Aires to Rio Race, Block Island Race and a second placing in the Fastnet. He compliments his sailing achievements with an outstanding track record in weather routing, advising sailors on strategy and weather in the Volvo Ocean Race, the Vendee Globe, Route du Rhum, the Jaques Fabres and the Olympics. Highlights include wins in the Route du Rhum 2002 and Transat Jacques Vabres 2003 and 2005.

Although he was born in The Nederlands, Wouter’s home is in Oslo, with his Norwegian wife and son.
